Integrating GuardPoint Pro with Avigilon using a Serial Connection

GuardPoint Pro can now integrate with the Avigilon Control Center software suite to provide live and easily searchable recorded CCTV footage for any pre defined alarms and access events.

Treating an access event or alarm event from GPP as a POS event in Avigilon allows live video to be time stamped and recorded in the Avigilon suite with any custom message the user would see appropriate.

This can then be easily searched and exported. Any event that would appear in the Guard Point Pro event log window, a forced door alarm event for example could then be searched by time and date in the Avigilon suite, we can then export the video for evidence, this would be the same for any kind of access event allowing the user to easily see live or recorded video events that correlate with any event in GuardPoint Pro.

Guard Point Pro allows us to send custom messages over IP or coms port via a Serial to TCIP converter. This converter sits on the already available LAN ‘talking’ to both Guard Point Pro and the Avigilon Suite.

As soon as there is an action or message in GuardPoint Pro this is sent directly to the Avigilon suite triggering a bookmark of the recording. The user can then go back into the Avigilon suite and view the live event, search and playback any recorded event and export the recorded events to a variety of video formats.
