Occasionally, there is a need to run maintenance on the GuardPoint Pro database especially if you are seeing performance issues when GuardPoint Pro is loading.
When GuardPoint Pro loads, the database is checked for integrity.
This action can be slowed down by a large pending commands table called the 'MEMNUM' table.
Manual deletion of these pending records is necessary to clean the table and prevent the slowdown in the database integrity check.
Perform the following for manual deletion of these records -
Note: Microsoft access is necessary to open the GuardPoint Pro database
Back up your database before performing the table deletion
1. Double click the GuardPointPro.mdb found in the GuardPoint Pro installation folder:
2. The database will open in MS access.
In the left hand column, locate the table named 'MEMNUM' and double click to open:
3. Click on Create from the top menu of Access then click Query Design
4. Close the show table box, right click on the background and select SQL View
5. In the space provided copy and paste this query:
DELETE * FROM MEMNUM WHERE TYPE = 15 AND SENT = 1
You will be asked if you wish to delete the containing records from the table, click Yes.
6. From the file menu click Save
