This article applies to flashing the below firmware onto an IC 2001/4001 or 2001IP/4001IP controller.
This firmware allows a controller to monitor a room from an input for motion. The controller must be sensing motion every 2-126 mins or it will trigger an input alarm. The controller counts the people in the room so will also set of an alarm if motion is detected in the room and the cardholder count is 0.
Example 1: Alarm is set to trigger at 8 mins of no activity, cardholder enters room and exits within 3 mins
Result: No Alarm triggered as cardholder count is 0 and there is no movement in the room
Example 2: Alarm set to trigger after 10 mins, 2 cardholders enter the room and stop moving for 10+ mins
Result: Alarm triggered at 10 min mark from last motion detected as the cardholder count in the room is above 0.
Setting up the controller and readers:
Note that entrance readers must be 1 and/or 2 and exit readers must be 3 and/or 4, this is not changeable.
Setting the delay time (Amount of time no motion can be before alarm):
Navigate to the desired input for the motion sensor or other input
Infrastructure > Controller > Input > Double click input
Input delay type: After ... [Even if no more under Alarm]
Duration Period: Set in Minutes, must be an even number from 2 to 126
This alarm will be sent to GP10 as a standard input alarm (the start of alarm will be followed immediately by the end of alarm) and therefore, standard GP10 processes can be used to display the map, activate a local alarm relay (via Global, local reflex) etc..
A video can be found of an example use here:

Notes:
- Max. cardholder capacity allowed: 120120
- After a general download including cardholders, all cardholders are considered exited, so the room is considered empty.
